Description:

The Ranger1 laser range finder offers precise distance measurement, without reflectors, at distances up to 150m (500').
It can be used in anti collision applications with two outputs to slow and stop the crane, and it can also communicate with other HoistNet (tm) devices to solve complex positioning and zoning problems.

Need to reduce the load limit of your crane in 3 steps as it moves closer to the other crane or over a new part of the runway? Ranger1 + MaxOut is the answer.

Need to keep the crane away from three different areas of the factory when machines are operating? Ranger1 + ZonePro will get the job done.

Ranger1 is the only crane positioning system with built in wireless technology. Contact us to discuss your application

How fast is the Ranger1?

Ranger1 updates faster than 10Hz

Do I need to wire the Ranger1 to other devices for applications like variable load limiting?

Ranger1 has two wired outputs for controlling slow and stop on long travel. For all other applications Ranger1 will connect wirelessly over HoistNet.

Can I connect Ranger1 to a PLC?

Yes, a HoistNet Gateway can connect wirelessly to up to two Ranger1 units and output the measured position of the crane over RS485 or 4-20mA.
